This is a photo of me during my week-long experience when I was chosen as one of my school’s representative for Manlingkor Ya Kalangweran. It is an annual event held by the local government of Dagupan City. It is a leadership training where we were able to have first hand experiences as young city officials and departments. I had the chance to be the Young City Veterinarian. I was able to join the City Veterinarian and their whole department in assisting patients. Most of the patients are dogs and there are some people who brings their cats too for check up. During my week-long practicum here, I was able to assist patients in and out of the clinic and do meat inspection at our local market. This shocked me a bit since I never thought meat inspection would be a vet’s job. Overall, this was a fun and refreshing experience for me since I really learned a lot.
